the framed bench

This is a photo I took of a bench on a cliff in cyprus. It had a frame around it which I thought looked interesting as I'd never seen anything like it before. It seems like the bech is in a box but you can look at the see whilst you sit on the bench. It's such a simple idea but its so effective. It's very distant, the way you can see the edge of the earth here is powerful. It's so wide and so far ahead to view, you can't reach the end of the sea because it's pretty much unreachable. There's such a sence of emptyness about this, there isn't any one around in this destination and the grey tones makes it look misrable.

I edited the photo above using windows photo gallery on my computer at home and changed the saturation. This gives a very blue sea like look for everything in the photo. It's as if the water has washed it blue but the sea itself is actually calm here.
